Stephanie Roth Leaves CLAM in January 2023

A message from Stephanie Roth, Major Gifts Manager (and former Development Director):

It is with mixed feelings that I’m writing to let you know that I'm stepping down from my job at CLAM, after 5.5 years on staff. My final day will be Friday, January 13th, 2023.

I want to express my deep appreciation to the community of West Marin, on whose behalf I worked in order to bring some measure of equity and justice into the housing here. As a community land trust, CLAM’s mission to remove land from the speculative real estate market and into community-owned control is a powerful approach to the housing crisis that has been so devastating all over the country.

Your support over the two decades of CLAM’s existence has made all the difference in our success and will continue to be what moves many of our projects to completion. This includes the former Coast Guard neighborhood, as well as the creation of new affordable homes within the various communities of West Marin.

What has been most impressive to me in my time at CLAM is the deep commitment, support and action that our members and supporters have taken time and again - whether mobilizing to advocate for affordable housing on the former Coast Guard site, organizing to support Measure W, showing up to help paint a new CLAM home, or responding to our appeals for financial support. You are truly what makes CLAM’s work possible.

I want to give a special shout out to the wonderful, talented and dedicated staff, board, and community members with whom I worked. My fundraising team understood that fundraising was not just about the money we raised, but about how we engage the community, and how we build a movement for housing justice together.

As a longtime member of CLAM (since 2003!), I'll continue to stay connected to this important work, and look forward to hearing about more new homes being created over the coming years, as well as the initiatives we create and join to further this critical cause.
